A donation was raised for the RFDS nationwide at the Saturday night dinner, as well as a donation for the Westpac Helicopter from the Friday night BBQ. All attendees had a great weekend with no breakdowns, accidents or incidents of any kind reported for the event or the ride to and from Urunga. People came from WA, SA, Vic., Tas., the ACT, NSW and Queensland for the event.

There were about 50 members on 43 V-Stroms.  Stephen, one of the organisers said he felt they did fairly well to raise the amount they did and everyone was fully supportive and acknowledge that, as motorcycle riders who tour vast sections of this continent, we may need the services ourselves one day [one member has already had the help of the RFDS in the past].  There were plenty of activities for all, mainly rides to various localities in the area for site seeing and lunches.

RFDS are very pleased to give the Stromtroopers a heartfelt thank you to all involved with this donation.  This donation will help the RFDS nationwide to provide the finest care to Australia's furthest corners so that anyone who lives, works or travels in remote and rural Australia can enjoy the best of health.
