TNT Express - Casual 4A Cause

TNT Express 'Casual 4A Cause'

"Casual 4A Cause" is a TNT Express national initiative. Right around Australia, on a set day, in each area (56 depots) of TNT Express, employees put forward suggestion as to which charity should benefit from their fundraising efforts.

As part of TNT Express 'Casual 4A Cause', employees at TNT Express Head Office in Mascot Sydney wore their casual clothes and donated a gold coin to the charity of their choice.   Di Brooks Accounts Payable Team Leader of TNT suggested The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia as the charity to benefit from their initiative and a donation was made to the RFDS.

Here's Di's outline of why she wanted to support this RFDS

"Tony and I have been supporting the RFDS since 2006 when we undertook our around Australia road trip. We had watched the RFDS program on the TV and were amazed at the work they carry out in the outback and as we were going to be travelling thousands of kilometres around Australia, largely on dirt roads we understood that the day might come where we could need their services.

We receive monthly newsletters telling us about emergencies they have had to fly out to, medical services they have provided and the all important monthly clinics they provide to remote outback stations.

Quite often these clinics are where life threatening illnesses are diagnosed and are often the only chance for outback residents to get to see a doctor without having to drive for hundreds or even thousands of kilometres.

As a transport company where our drivers cover hundreds of thousands of kilometres each year travelling backwards and forwards across and around Australia we never know when a member of our extended TNT family may need the help of the RFDS."
